What is a field jacket?
A field jacket is a mid-length utility jacket that began as military kit and crossed into everyday wear decades ago. The modern version keeps the details that made it useful — four front pockets with flap closure, a storm-flap front combining buttons with a zip, a stand or turn-down collar, and a cut that finishes around the hip. Those four pockets are the tell: two on the chest for documents and maps, two lower cargo pockets for everything else.

Agreed per order at sampling stage: face fabric weight and finish, whether the finish is water-repellent only or a laminated waterproof membrane, pocket configuration, hood attachment, lining artwork, full size range and measurement chart, bulk lead time, and packaging. What fabric is a field jacket made from?
Water-repellent cotton twill is the standard, and we also run 100% garment-washed cotton and full-print camouflage cotton depending on the market.
Is a field jacket waterproof?
A water-repellent finish sheds light rain and short showers, but it is not a laminated waterproof membrane. If you need full waterproofing, tell us at sampling and we will quote a membrane construction instead.
Can the hood be detachable?
Yes. Our military-inspired field jacket uses a detachable hood with a drawcord, and fixed hoods are available on other styles.
Can I put my own branding on the lining and hardware?
Yes. Full-print linings, plaid linings, custom copper zip pullers, copper logos, leather labels and embroidery are all produced to your artwork.
Is a field jacket suitable for OEM and private label?
