Wholesale Twill Jackets: Cargo, Overshirt and Transitional Styles in Cotton Twill

SAZ Atelier manufactures wholesale twill jackets — multi-pocket cargo twill jackets, twill overshirts and high-density cotton twill transitional jackets for men’s brands. Twill is the diagonal-rib weave that gives these jackets their abrasion resistance and their matte, workwear hand. Our minimum order is 100 pieces per style, with your own labels, fabrics and colourways, and a sample ready in about one week. This guide covers the twill fabrics we run, the constructions we build, our reference styles, and how to brief a factory for a private-label programme.

Why twill is used for jackets

Twill is woven with the weft passing over two or more warp threads, which produces the diagonal rib you can see on the surface. That structure packs more yarn into the same area of cloth than a plain weave, so twill drapes denser, resists abrasion better and holds a pressed edge — the reasons it has been the default fabric for workwear, cargo jackets and field jackets for the better part of a century. For a buyer, the practical consequences are simpler than the weave theory: twill jackets take hard wear, keep their shape through washing, and print and embroider cleanly.

We do not publish figures we cannot stand behind. Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity for wholesale twill jackets?

Our minimum is 100 pieces per style, applied per style rather than per order.

What is a twill jacket made of?

Our twill jackets are 100% cotton — high-density twill and fine pearl spun canvas are the two weaves we run most, with washed twill on the retro styles.

Is a twill jacket warm enough for winter?

Twill jackets are transitional pieces rather than winter outerwear. For winter use they are worn over a knit or under a coat, or specified with a padded lining — tell us the market and we will quote accordingly.

Can the pockets be changed?

Yes. Pocket configuration is drawn per style: cargo pockets, hidden chest zip pockets, flap pockets and internal pockets are all specified at sampling.

Do you bleach or wash the fabric?

Washed finishes are applied per style. The exact wash recipe and the resulting degree of fade are confirmed with the buyer, because they change from one fabric lot to the next.

Is a twill jacket suitable for OEM and private label?

Yes. Twill jackets and overshirts are core made-to-order styles and are produced under your own label with your own trims and packaging.
